A completely new eye clinic is being developed where we offer the county's residents, as well as parts of Sweden's population, modern, high-tech eye care. Job Duties On the care ward, you will meet patients of various ages being treated for medical and surgical eye diseases. We offer stimulating work within basic and highly specialized eye surgery and in close collaboration with the clinic's other units. About the Operation The Eye Care Department is one of Sweden's five largest eye care operations. Our university hospital care consists of two units: a medical unit with extensive outpatient care and a surgical unit. The outpatient clinic has team-based operations in general ophthalmology, glaucoma, medical retina, pediatric and strabismus, neuroophthalmology, and uveitis. The surgical unit has a large vitreo-retinal surgery section as well as an anterior segment surgery section with a cornea center. In total, we have over 130 employees in the operation. We strive to be at the forefront with high medical quality in several areas, including medical retina. Here there is advanced equipment including navigated retinal laser and wide-field imaging. There is a long tradition of participation in international clinical drug trials and good opportunities for research. The University Hospital has close collaboration with Örebro University, where, among other things, medical education is provided. The Eye Care Department has active teaching and training activities. There is research activity and good opportunities for R&D-interested employees.
