Aspås School has approximately 100 students in grades F-6, of which 60 children are enrolled in the after-school program. We work in close collaboration at the school to create holistic solutions for students. The work is based on each student's opportunity for development and learning throughout the entire day. The school is located near nature with a rich outdoor environment. We place great emphasis on creating safety and well-being, where values-based work is highly prioritized. After-school program and school development are a major part of the school's collaborative work to achieve better learning outcomes.
The Department of Children and Education has approximately 800 employees. The department's activities span the entire municipality and include preschool, primary school grades F-9, adapted primary school, after-school programs, food services and facility maintenance, mother tongue instruction, and library services.
A day as a teacher in the after-school program at Aspås School
The position is part of a work team for grades F-6 where after-school and classroom teachers collaborate and share responsibility for students throughout the day. The main task is in the after-school program and possibly teaching physical education (grades 1-3) at the school if you are qualified to do so. You are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating the educational activities in the after-school program together with your colleagues. You also take responsibility for planning, implementing, and evaluating physical education instruction if applicable.
Teaching and stimulating students based on municipal and national goals is the main task of the work. Inspiring, motivating, and fostering curiosity in students to seek the knowledge they need is another important part of the work, as is supporting students in their personal development.
Other important tasks in the teaching profession include identifying development needs and driving the development of activities toward set goals and contributing to the entire school's development. You will have great opportunities to use your knowledge and experience to further develop the activities' working methods together with your colleagues.
Your qualifications
You have teacher education and certification with qualifications in after-school program activities. It is an asset if you are also qualified in physical education and health. You are well acquainted with the after-school program's and school's governing documents and can implement them in daily work.
It is an asset if you have experience with NPF-certified instruction.
Furthermore, we consider it self-evident that you stand for the school's values.

The position is a permanent appointment with start date by agreement.
