The Role Gasum AB in Sweden owns and operates nine biogas production facilities. The facility primarily co-digests manure together with waste and by-products from agriculture and the food industry in the surrounding area. Through the biological process, biogas is produced and then upgraded to vehicle gas quality in a water scrubbing facility. The finished gas is compressed and distributed to customers via gas cylinders. As an important part of the circular economy, the nutrient-rich biogas digestate is returned to local farms, where it replaces mineral fertilizer and contributes to more sustainable agriculture. The operation thus creates benefits for the climate, the region's food production, and the local economy. The facility is characterized by close collaboration with farmers, food industries, and transport customers in the region.
