Gammelkroppa Skogshögskola is one of Sweden's smallest and most specialized higher education institutions, beautifully situated one mile east of Filipstad in eastern Värmland. We provide forestry higher education, continuing education courses, and conference services in a unique environment where proximity to the forest is a natural part of daily life. To strengthen our organization, we are now seeking an administrative manager with overall responsibility for finance and operational staff. Your Responsibilities As an administrative manager, you will have overall responsibility for our administrative and operational support processes. Your role includes, among other things: Managing budget, ongoing financial monitoring, and reporting to management and the board. Leading, allocating, and developing work for operational/administrative staff (e.g., reception, course administration, conferences, service). Ensuring efficient administrative routines and system support that back our core activities: education, continuing education, and conferences. Participating in operational planning and providing close support to the rector/management on strategic and operational matters. Contributing to workplace environment work and helping create a sustainable and attractive workplace. The role is both strategic and practical – you will move between working on long-term development and being present in day-to-day operations. Your Profile We are looking for someone who: Has relevant post-secondary education, preferably in finance, administration, forestry, management, or similar. Has documented experience with financial work, budgeting, and monitoring. Has experience with personnel responsibility and leading teams in an operational business. Thrives in a small organization where people help each other and decision-making pathways are short. Has good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish. As a person, you are structured, solution-oriented, and communicative. You enjoy creating order and clarity, while being unpretentious and willing to pitch in where needed.
