Unit Manager for Elder Care

Emmaboda Municipality is in an exciting development phase where the modern small town is being built. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES We are looking for someone who wants to help refine and further develop Emmaboda Municipality's Elder Care services. You will be one of six unit managers within elder care. The Social Services Plan along with our values form the framework for operations. A person-centered approach and professional conduct are the starting point in daily work. Multiprofessional teamwork together with the individual is the means to meet each person's needs as well as to regularly follow up on working methods and interventions. We use IBIC as the structure for our work. Work with IBIC and systematic quality work is an ongoing development process, as is adjusting the forms of multiprofessional teamwork. Collaboration and cooperation within the administration, the municipality, and with the region are central to the transition to Care Closer to Home and the upcoming transition to the new Social Services Act. We use the Tieto Lifecare business system. As a unit manager in Emmaboda Municipality, you will have operations-focused leadership. You will work from the service area you are responsible for. In your operations, you have approximately 30 employees, who are organized in small work groups that create continuity for the individual. The assignment includes responsibility for operations, budget, personnel, and working environment. You have close collaboration with case officers, business developers, nurses, and rehabilitation units as well as other support functions within the municipality. You will benefit from the advantages of a small municipality in terms of clarity and short decision-making paths. Your immediate supervisor is the Operations Manager for Municipal Primary Care and Elder Care. On-call service is included with approximately 4 weeks per year. QUALIFICATIONS The position requires independence combined with responsiveness and good ability to collaborate. You are confident, curious, flexible, and opportunity-oriented. A pedagogical approach and ability to see the bigger picture and context are important. Likewise, enjoying the dynamics of development processes that occasionally can require patience. We are currently in development processes such as IBIC, Care Closer to Home, and improved working methods based on systematic quality work. We use the Tieto Lifecare business system. You have a degree in social work or other higher education that the employer deems equivalent. The position requires good ability to communicate both verbally and in writing. Great importance is placed on personal qualities. It is a merit if you have previous experience with leadership, social work, and working with development processes. A driver's license is a requirement as you will need to move between service areas and public transportation options are limited. A 6-month probationary period may be relevant.
