As a personal assistant, you will be an important part of the girl's daily life—both at home and during activities. This work involves comprehensive care and supervision responsibilities, where you as an assistant need to be present, attentive, and confident in your role. Work hours are scheduled on weekdays and weekends as follows: Weekdays: 17:00 - 23:00 23:00 - 07:15 Weekends: 09:00 - 17:00 17:00 - 23:00 23:00 - 09:00 We are looking for someone who views this work as a long-term position and is willing to work at least 20 hours per week, seeing this as ongoing collaboration. Introduction can begin immediately by arrangement. ABOUT THE CLIENT You will be working with a 12-year-old girl who enjoys singing, playing, and swimming. She values security and presence around her. The client has extensive care needs. You need to have experience with intellectual disabilities, nutritional problems, visual field defects, and epilepsy. This means that as an assistant, you are responsible for both basic care and medical tasks. She needs help with: Personal hygiene, dressing and undressing, and meals Transfers and medication administration Communication and social interaction Daily routines at home She uses assistive devices including a feeding tube and a walker. As a person, you are responsive, calm, secure, and responsible, and you feel comfortable with a task that involves extensive care and supervision responsibilities. She has significant mobility challenges and therefore requires several assistive devices such as a ceiling lift, standing aid, specially adapted chairs, and various communication aids. As an assistant, you will receive comprehensive on-the-job training to learn how to use these devices. She currently attends an adapted high school for part of the day. As an assistant, you will work overnight shifts of approximately 10-12 hours. The client has dual assistance at all times around the clock. During the night, she needs supervision and assistance as needs arise. It is important that you have a car and a driver's license to get to the workplace. We are now seeking a personal assistant for a 32-year-old social and cheerful man who lives with his family just outside Mariestad. There are varying interests, but one example is cooking. During the day, you will assist him at his job. You are someone who is calm, present, with a sense of humor, and who understands that you will sometimes need to stay in the background. His disability means you will be his arms and legs in various situations, but he leads and plans his assistance himself. As his assistant, you will help with personal care, transfers, household chores, and other activities.
