About the Personal Assistant Role As a personal assistant, you work closely with a person with a disability in their daily life. About the Position: We are now seeking personal assistants who want to work as substitutes with varying needs. To be eligible for the position, you must have experience working with individuals who have autism and/or epilepsy. The work requires that you are calm, composed, and confident in your professional role, and have the ability to create structure and handle different situations with a professional and respectful manner. We are looking for someone who is calm, confident, and independent. You have the ability to create structure and stability, even in situations that require quick decisions. You feel secure in your role and treat others with respect, patience, and attentiveness. A valid driver's license (category B) and being smoke-free are also required for the position. The employment form is hourly employment – as needed, and the pay structure is hourly wages. Work hours vary based on customer needs: day, evening, night (active and on-call), weekdays and weekends. You will receive orientation and support to feel confident in your role.
