Our client in Ulricehamn is looking for an assistant to work daytime hours - the work involves alternating between Vegby and central Ulricehamn. To get to know the client, there will be thorough introduction during daytime/evening/weekends before you begin working independently during the day. Here's how our client describes her needs and what is expected of you as an assistant. I am a happy and creative 14-year-old girl. Working with me, you'll be part of everything that happens in my daily life and you will become an important piece of the puzzle in my life. You need to be prepared to work at both of my parents' homes. You will help me during the day in my everyday life, and also be with me at school during school hours. Because I have complex epilepsy, I always need to have an assistant nearby, as I can have seizures at any time. I love painting, crafting, listening to music, and sometimes dancing, but everything depends on how I'm feeling that day. I also like horses and sometimes ride in the afternoon after school. I need exercise and movement, and it's important that you can also participate in my physical activities such as kicking a ball, running, jumping, and playing. At my dad's house there is a cat, so you cannot be allergic to animals. Assistant Role and Experience To be a good fit as my personal assistant, I hope you have experience from similar work, perhaps as an assistant or working with children with special needs in other ways. It's a big plus if you have basic knowledge about epilepsy. It's important that you are caring and reliable, with a big heart for helping others. You also need to be proactive, playful, and good at motivating because I appreciate when we come up with creative and fun things together. Flexibility and the ability to adapt are important. I'm looking for someone who is positive and has a good sense of humor, preferably a bit playful. But you also need to be able to stay calm and stable, even in stressful situations, and have the ability to understand my needs and my situation. Engagement and a genuine interest in contributing to a meaningful and fun everyday life for me is also very important. You need a driver's license and access to your own car when I'm at my mom's place, since we live in the countryside without public transportation. Meritorious Experience Driver's license and access to your own car is a requirement. Experience with Epilepsy. Experience working with children/youth with special needs. Swedish in speech and writing. Working Hours/Employment Level Permanent employment as long as the assignment lasts with a fixed schedule on a rotating 4-week schedule.
