I need help with toileting, supervision while I sleep, taking my medications, helping me get to various activities, and being my support in daily life where my disability creates limitations. I have a muscle weakness that requires me to do stretching exercises regularly. I don't have spoken language and communicate using pictures, body language, gestures, my communication book PODD, and my digital communication device. I also use a pointing lamp as an aid. I also have epilepsy, so I need help if and when I have seizures. I eat via a tube/button in my stomach, and it's helpful if you have experience with this, otherwise I can teach you. If you have experience or training, that's a plus. We are looking for a woman who is easy to work with and able to handle multiple tasks at once. You should of course enjoy working with young people.
