JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a Senior Social Worker, you have a central role in daily operations and serve as close support to the social workers. You are responsible for operational management in close collaboration with the work team and unit manager. The unit works with children, youth, and their families aged 0-18 years. The unit handles authority functions from case initiation and investigation to follow-up of open care services and placed children. The team consists of an administrator, six investigative social workers, two child welfare officers, and a foster care coordinator. Your role includes providing support and guidance to social workers, coordinating and prioritizing work based on operational needs, and contributing to lawful and quality authority functions. You monitor caseload, support planning and case distribution, and ensure that procedures and work methods are known and followed. You work closely with the unit manager and have special responsibility for introducing new employees, implementing new work methods, and monitoring developments in our field. The role also includes making decisions according to delegation. The position involves close collaboration with both your own work team and internal and external partners. You combine management with operational work where you contribute to structure, quality, and a positive work environment. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with a degree in social work and experience with authority functions within social services, preferably in child and youth care. A class B driver's license is required. You have good knowledge of relevant legislation and experience with BBIC. It is an advantage if you have experience in management, mentoring, or coaching colleagues. You express yourself well in speech and writing, have good administrative skills, and are confident in documentation, assessments, and decision-making.
