Beskrivning Vår enhet Barn- och ungdomspsykiatri, BUP Hisingen, är en del av verksamhetsområdet Neurologi, Psykiatri Barn på Område 1, Sahlgrenska Universitetssjukhuset. Vi är en välfungerande öppenvårdsmottagning med specialist-uppdrag, vars syfte är att behandla barn och ungdomar mellan 0-18 år med allvarlig psykisk ohälsa. Vi har runt 1700 patienter som är inskrivna just nu. Vi är ungefär 25-30 medarbetare som arbetar på mottagningen och arbetsgruppen består av specialistläkare, sjuksköterskor, psykologer, socionomer och vård-administratörer. Dessutom har vi även ST-läkare, PTP-psykolog samt VFU studenter i perioder på vår mottagning. Actors and sometimes directors are recruited from Sweden, the United Kingdom, Ireland, and other English-speaking countries, and we work with a Swedish production team responsible for sound and lighting design, set design, technical work, and more. Since 2012, we have been located at Chapmans torg in Majorna, where we have a studio stage as well as a larger theatre hall and foyer. We produce at least two original productions per year as well as touring English-language school productions. In addition to our artistic activities, GEST offers English-language theatre courses and English drama workshops for primary and secondary schools. GEST is financed by operational support from the City of Gothenburg, the Västra Götaland Region, the Swedish Arts Council, and our own ticket revenues.
