About the Position The client has extensive care needs and requires support in all aspects of daily life. As a personal assistant, you will become an important part of a team working to create a safe, active, and meaningful everyday life. Your tasks will include: Personal care and hygiene Dressing and undressing Meals, including regular food and tube feeding via PEG Help with breathing support (PEP mask) Training and rehabilitation Bathing in a rehabilitation bath weekly Walks and other activities Assistance with transfers and other daily support Day and evening shifts are staffed with two assistants, providing excellent opportunities for collaboration and a safe introduction. Introduction and Training To ensure safe and quality assistance, you will receive a thorough introduction before working independently. The introduction typically consists of three work shifts (two day shifts and one evening shift), but can be extended if needed. All new employees also complete Alma Assistans' web-based introductory training for personal assistants within three weeks of starting employment. Working Hours Working hours vary and include day, evening, and night shifts. Day 07.00–14.00 07.00–15.00 Evening 14.00–21.00 15.15–22.00 Night 21.00–07.00 There is also the possibility to work longer shifts. Employment is as hourly staff but can, by agreement, transition to a fixed-term employment ("as long as the assignment lasts"). About the Position: Our client has autism, which means he needs assistance in various everyday situations where his disability creates certain limitations. You will serve as his extended arms and legs, helping him in situations he might otherwise manage on his own. His interests include watching films, visiting cafés, spending time with friends, and walking his dogs regardless of the weather. Your help with spelling when he writes his stories will be a central part of your role. It is also important that you work in a way that strengthens the client's sense of participation.
