NPL Analyst
Arktika is building one of Europe's first specialised debt restructurers — and helping define how non-performing credit is bought, priced, and managed in an era of new rules and sharper competition. As we grow across Europe, we're expanding our analyst team and looking for another NPL Analyst to join the analytical heart of the business. We're open to a range of seniority levels — what matters most is hands-on experience with the asset class and real analytical firepower. The role This is a role for someone who turns data into decisions. You'll analyze non-performing loan investments and build the case behind them, working close to where Arktika's capital is actually put to work. We're in the business of risk — but we take calculated risks, backed by evidence, never luck. Your analysis is what makes the difference, and it goes straight to the people who make the call. You'll work alongside a present, hands-on leadership team every day — close enough that your analysis is seen and your voice is heard. This is not a managerial role, but a great opportunity for someone who enjoys both working with people and being part of product and AI development. Key responsibilities Analyze NPL investment opportunities and build the valuation case behind them Present investment cases and recommendations to management and the Board Take part in portfolio revaluations and present your conclusions to management and the Board Help develop and continuously improve our valuation and investment processes Who you are You've worked with non-performing loans before, in the Nordic and/or German markets, and know the asset class first-hand Strong analytical and quantitative skills — comfortable working across large, messy datasets You can cut through a large dataset to what actually matters, prove it, and present your conclusions clearly — and traceably back to the underlying numbers Structured, curious, and driven; you thrive on responsibility, pace, and measurable results An interest in, and knowledge of, applying AI in analysis is a strong merit Experience from banking, and familiarity with capital and liquidity matters, is a strong merit Why Arktika A rare seat close to the ground floor of a fast-growing, regulated credit institution — where your analysis shapes real decisions and technology, integrity, and performance pull in the same direction. The extensive regulatory framework we work within is built into how we operate and into the platform beneath us, not bolted on top — so rigor and speed reinforce each other. We offer a competitive salary and the customary benefits — and, less commonly, a real chance to shape a company while it's still being built. We review applications and conduct interviews on an ongoing basis.
Tech Lead
About Evora Labs Evora Labs develops technology for the operation, integration, and management of battery energy storage systems and other distributed energy assets. Our platform helps energy asset owners integrate assets, achieve market readiness, maintain operational availability, and manage technical requirements across energy markets and grid services. About the role As Tech Lead, you will own the technical direction and day-to-day engineering of the Evora platform: the cloud backend, the operator frontend, the EMS edge software that runs at battery sites, and the infrastructure that connects them. You will work close to real assets. The code you write reads Modbus registers from live battery systems, runs prequalification tests against the Swedish TSO's technical requirements, ingests Nordic and continental market data, and dispatches setpoints that a safety envelope on the edge is the last line of defense for. The position combines hands-on full-stack development, system architecture, ownership of the edge and integration layer, technical leadership of a small team, and continuous translation of field experience from live BESS projects into the product. Key responsibilities - Own the architecture and technical roadmap of the Evora platform across backend, frontend, edge, and cloud infrastructure. - Design and build backend services in Python (FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, asyncpg, Alembic) on top of TimescaleDB, Redis, and MQTT. - Develop and maintain the EMS edge software: Modbus and vendor-protocol drivers, register maps, control loops, safety envelope, and store-and-forward telemetry over AWS IoT Core. - Build operator-facing product in the Next.js and React frontend: fleet monitoring, asset and site management, the visual workflow builder, dashboards, and market explorers. - Own the prequalification engine that drives FCR-N, FCR-D, FFR, aFRR, and mFRR test programs, validates the response against TSO technical requirements, and produces the evidence and application values. - Integrate battery management systems, power conversion systems, meters, inverters, EV chargers, and heat pumps through Modbus, vendor cloud APIs, and gateway hardware. - Build and operate the market-data pipelines (ENTSO-E, Svenska kraftnät, Nord Pool style sources) that feed spot, ancillary, and forecast views. - Extend the platform's agent layer: LLM-driven operations assistants, morning briefings, diagnosis and remediation workflows, and the AI workflow builder, using Claude on AWS Bedrock. - Run the AWS infrastructure with Terraform: EC2, IoT Core, ECR, S3, IAM, and the CI/CD pipeline that ships backend images and the Vercel-hosted frontend. - Keep the full-system test suite (app, broker, edge, database) green and extend it as the control loop grows. - Support commissioning of live BESS sites together with the operations and prequalification team, and investigate communication, control-system, and data issues in the field. - Set engineering standards for code review, testing, migrations, observability, and documentation, and grow the team as Evora scales. - Contribute technical expertise in customer discovery, partner integrations, and pre-sales discussions. Qualifications We are looking for someone who has built and operated production software end to end and who is comfortable going from a battery's register map to a React component in the same day. You should have: - University degree in computer science, software engineering, electrical engineering, automation, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. - Several years of professional experience building and operating backend systems in Python, preferably with FastAPI or a similar async framework. - Strong SQL and PostgreSQL skills, and experience with time-series data at scale (TimescaleDB, continuous aggregates, compression, partitioning). - Experience building modern web frontends with TypeScript and React, preferably Next.js. - Experience with industrial or IoT communication: Modbus TCP/RTU, MQTT, or comparable protocols, and with software that runs on edge devices or gateways. - Experience running software on AWS or a comparable cloud, including infrastructure as code (Terraform), containers, and CI/CD. - Ability to read technical documentation, device specifications, and grid or market requirements, and turn them into working, tested software. - Experience leading technical work: setting architecture, reviewing code, and mentoring engineers. Meritorious experience It is considered an advantage if you have experience with: - Battery energy storage systems, EMS, BMS, PCS, meters, or other distributed energy resources. - Nordic ancillary-service markets and prequalification for FCR, aFRR, mFRR, or FFR. - Electricity-market data sources such as ENTSO-E, Svenska kraftnät, or Nord Pool. - LLM-based applications, tool-calling agents, or AI-assisted operational tooling. - Workflow or orchestration engines (Temporal or similar) and event-driven architectures. - Federated learning or privacy-preserving analytics on distributed data. - Edge hardware, balena or similar fleet management, and cellular gateways. - Full-system or hardware-in-the-loop testing of control systems. Personal profile You are technically hands-on and enjoy owning a system from the field device up to the user interface. You work systematically, write code that others can read and test, and are comfortable investigating problems that span hardware, communications, databases, and user-facing product. What we offer You will join Evora Labs at an early stage and take a central role in shaping how distributed energy assets are integrated, qualified, and operated through software. The position provides the opportunity to work across the whole stack, from Modbus registers on a battery site to market participation and AI-assisted operations, and to set the technical direction of a growing engineering team. The role is based in Stockholm.
