Welcome to us
Abrahamsbergskolan, built in 1946, is a municipal grades F-9 school in Bromma with approximately 600 students. Those of us who work at the school want to create the best learning environment we can to provide a solid knowledge foundation for students as they move on to upper secondary school. Thanks to experienced and well-educated teachers, study-motivated students, and guardians with high expectations, Abrahamsbergsskolan is a school with high academic results and a place to thrive. Starting in the fall of 2026, the school will be located in St Jacobis premises in Vällingby while the school undergoes renovation for two years.

Your role as a childcare worker
We are looking for a driven and committed childcare worker. In your role as a childcare worker, you will work in primary school and after-school care to provide students with learning and care so they develop according to their own abilities. You will help create a daily developing, meaningful, and positive environment for students where they reach their full potential.
You will be part of a team both in the grade level and after-school care. The position involves planning and implementing activities together with other staff based on the curriculum goals and other applicable guidelines. You collaborate with teachers and other educators in the classroom and work with student support and safety initiatives. You participate in activities before, during, and after the school day. Your tasks are varied and diverse throughout the workday. This might include: being available as support for students in the classroom, leading or participating in indoor and outdoor activities during the school day, during breaks, and in after-school activities.
Since the school has temporarily moved to Vällingby, we have opening and closing after-school care in Abrahamsberg as well as bus transportation between Abrahamsberg and Vällingby. This is part of the after-school staff's responsibilities, which you will be part of. In practice, this means you may alternate where you start or end your day, either in Abrahamsberg or in Vällingby.
Your competence and experience
We are looking for someone with childcare worker training or other training that the employer considers equivalent, preferably with further education for children with special needs.
In your work, you use a low-arousal approach, are professional, and can adapt your communication based on the situation. You are empathetic, mature, have good judgment, and can set boundaries. In your role, you are confident and understand the importance of being an adult role model. You can work independently and take initiative. In your interaction with students and guardians, you are clear and attentive to students' needs. You have strong ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities.
