Preschool Teacher, 1-Year Temporary Position
Would you like to become part of our preschool? We are seeking an engaged and warm preschool teacher who wants to join our preschool team for a 1-year temporary position. The position involves working with our youngest children. The group consists of 14 children and 3 educators, including one preschool teacher. We value closeness to the children, secure relationships, and ensuring that everyone – both children and adults – feels seen and valued. We are looking for someone who enjoys being close to the children in daily activities, who can laugh, play, comfort, discover, and build security with them. You are a person who sees each child as the unique individual they are and who wants to help give the children a wonderful and enriching preschool experience. Substitute Needed

The preschool is located near beautiful green areas such as Vanadisparken and Hagaparken, with a playground adjacent to the preschool building. We have a total of 30 children distributed across 3 departments. Indoors we have large spaces and several rooms to spend time in. We work with smaller groups of children and a team that works in an integrated manner across the departments. Waldorf pedagogy aims to give children the opportunity to develop as comprehensively as possible in a beautiful and calm environment. The pedagogy is based on Waldorf pedagogy "A Path to Freedom" and Lpfö 18 (rev. 2025). We use natural, non-toxic and sustainable materials. Vanadislundens Waldorf Preschool is run by Djurgårdens Waldorf School Association, which is an ideologically driven, non-profit association. Engaged and Driven Childcare Provider Wanted
We are looking for an engaged and driven childcare provider Workplace Description We are a small unit located in Vasastan in central Stockholm. Förskolan Strutsen is a staff cooperative run by engaged and curious educators with high ambitions. The educators have significant influence over operations and all decisions are close to the activities. We constantly strive to offer all children a challenging and stimulating environment. The preschool has 60 children distributed across three child groups. We use these three groups as a base when dividing children into smaller project groups that we work with for most of the day. We always strive to offer both children and educators a good work environment and for educators to be responsible for as few children as possible. It is 4 or 5 children per educator depending on the child's age. Operations are conducted in beautiful, spacious facilities of 650 square meters with large windows and outdoors, children have access to a playground directly adjacent to the preschool, which provides opportunities for fantastic pedagogical activities. Our cook prepares meals from scratch with a large proportion of organic ingredients. The preschool has excellent results in both user surveys and Stockholm City's quality indicators that we use in our systematic quality work. At Förskolan Strutsen, we work exploratively in projects both indoors and outdoors. The children's interests, experiences, and knowledge form the starting point for project work. Through thoughtful and challenging pedagogical environments, adapted to the children's ages and needs, we want to give children the opportunity for interaction, creativity, learning, influence, and responsibility. Job Description As a childcare provider with us, you work in a team with an experienced preschool teacher and two experienced childcare providers. We want you to have a professional approach and be engaged in planning, implementing, and following up on pedagogical activities, and that this occurs according to goals and guidelines in the School Act, activity plan, and other governing documents. You participate in pedagogical development work and pedagogical documentation according to the preschool's curriculum. Together with your colleagues, you contribute to creating a positive, meaningful, and developmental environment for each child and for the entire child group. You bring a positive attitude to parent meetings and development conversations. In daily contact with guardians, you are engaged, child-focused, and service-oriented. Qualifications We are looking for someone who is a trained childcare provider and who is curious about children's development and learning. It is an advantage if you have work experience from preschool and experience with documentation. You have a clear child focus and you have a positive attitude toward your work, your team, and the entire preschool. It is important that you have a respectful approach and the ability to create professional relationships with both children, guardians, and colleagues. You collaborate in a responsive and flexible manner, listening, communicating, and handling conflicts constructively. We appreciate qualities such as curiosity, engagement, positive thinking, and good collaboration skills in those applying for this position. This position is a part-time role of approximately 38 hours per week. For this position, providing a valid certificate from the police criminal record register is a requirement for employment.
