The operations are all located in Södertälje with proximity to both shopping and outdoor activities. About the Role as Support Assistant As a support assistant, you will work to provide individually tailored support to people with functional variations, with the goal of promoting their independence and well-being in daily life. You will support the residents in their daily routines and activities, based on their needs and abilities, and always use their personal implementation plan as a starting point. We work with a salutogenic and pedagogical approach, where we start from each individual's unique strengths and resources. The goal is for residents to achieve as much independence as possible and be able to live a meaningful life with high quality of life. As a support assistant, you work based on clarifying pedagogy and low-affect interaction to create security and predictability in the residents' daily lives. At the same time, we have a strong focus on working professionally and efficiently within the organization's resources and budget. Qualifications You are relationship-building, calm, stable and can maintain a realistic perspective on situations that arise in daily work. You have good collaboration skills and relate to others in a responsive way and enjoy working together with others. You are an independent, humble and responsible person who is passionate about care work and can see the individual's needs. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Requirements: Very good ability in Swedish, both spoken and written. Good computer skills, experience with documentation. Experience working in healthcare and care. High school education such as child and leisure program, care and health program, or post-secondary education such as support pedagogue, social pedagogue or higher education in a relevant field. Meritorious if you also have: Experience in psychiatry, AAC and low-affect interaction. Worked with complex support needs. We are now recruiting support assistants for hourly temporary positions at Högås short-term services. At Högås, you'll meet young people who need various levels of support and care. This involves supporting children, adolescents, and young adults with Neuropsychiatric disabilities (NPD). Your role As a support assistant, you work based on the residents' individual needs and wishes, providing support in daily life using a pedagogical approach. An important part of the work is stimulating and motivating residents to develop their abilities and creating opportunities for an active and meaningful leisure time. About Högås Short-Term Services Our short-term residential facility, Högås, is located in a rural setting between Vagnhärad and Gnesta with many opportunities for activity and relaxation. We serve participants with high-functioning autism between 7 and 21 years old. Short-term stays occur on weekends and school holidays. Groups at the facility are divided by age and interests. Since Högås is a rural facility, it is necessary that you have a driver's license and are comfortable driving. We work based on Nytida's pedagogical framework, which means an individual-centered approach based on low-arousal interaction and explicit pedagogy. At Nytida's short-term facility, we want a good balance between fun activities and relaxation time. We would like to see that you have an interest in motivating participants to engage in activities in the nearby natural areas. Our facilities include rooms for crafts and creative activities, movie watching and video games. Outdoors we have a large lawn with opportunities for activities, and proximity to a lake where fishing and swimming are possible. Your experience and knowledge We believe that you who apply to us: • have a positive outlook and strong commitment to people • are responsible and have personal maturity • enjoy working in a team and supporting your colleagues You have at least upper secondary education in care and support or equivalent training. It is a merit if you have experience working with this target group. You have good computer skills and experience with documentation. Good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing is required, but otherwise your CV is not the most important thing.
