About the job
As an automation teacher, you'll teach students in both theory and practice in areas such as automation technology, robotics, and operational safety. You'll work closely with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and contribute to a safe and coaching environment.
What you'll do:
Teach technology with a focus on automation
Guide students in practical work and projects
Assess, follow up, and grade students
Collaborate with colleagues in teams and cross-disciplinary setups
Activly contribute to the development of the school's educational environment
Placement
The position is located at Göranssonska Skolan in Sandviken, where work takes place on-site in the school's teaching and workshop environments.
About you
You have theoretical and practical competence in automation, and ideally have teaching qualifications or experience in teaching. A post-secondary technical education is a merit. You communicate fluently in Swedish and handle English well.
You have:
Good knowledge of automation, automation technology, operational safety, robotics (Yaskawa, ABB)
Experience with programming, PLC (e.g., Siemens or Mitsubishi)
Ability to combine theory and practical elements in teaching
Confidence in assessing and following up on student development
Interest in collaborating on projects and cross-disciplinary teams
You enjoy working with young people and build trust through a humble, clear, and supportive approach. You enjoy sharing your knowledge, learn from others, and contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment.
