You will have a central role in developing and coordinating stormwater management - from comprehensive planning and detailed plans to implementation of individual projects. Here you will combine technology, environment, and urban planning in a task that makes a real difference for a growing and climate-smart municipality. What does the position involve? As a stormwater coordinator, you will become a key person in developing and quality-assuring the sector's stormwater management at all stages. You will represent the land manager for public spaces as well as street and park operations, and work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure sustainable, efficient, and aesthetically well-thought-out solutions. The position includes: Participating in and driving investigations, strategies, and projects related to sustainable stormwater management. Reviewing and following up stormwater solutions at different stages - from early planning to completed facilities. Collaborating with other sectors and units within the municipality, such as Waste/Water Utilities, Planning & Building, and external consultants. Being a specialist in the planning and building process regarding stormwater issues. Contributing to spreading knowledge and developing the municipality's internal processes within the stormwater field. You will be part of a cohesive team with high expertise and a collaborative atmosphere, where we work closely together and support each other in our various tasks. Together we work to create a sustainable and pleasant environment for today's and tomorrow's municipal residents. Who are we looking for? We are looking for someone with a combination of technical understanding, analytical ability, and a genuine interest in sustainable societal development. You thrive working both independently and with others, and you have an easy time seeing the bigger picture in complex processes. We would like you to have: Relevant higher education, for example in civil engineering, environmental engineering, water/wastewater engineering, or similar. Several years of experience from a relevant field, preferably with a focus on stormwater, water/wastewater, planning, or design. Ability to work in a structured, solution-oriented manner with good collaboration skills. Interest in strategic issues and a willingness to contribute to the municipality's climate adaptation and sustainable urban development. It is meritorious if you also have: Experience from municipal operations or other public organization. Experience working with blue-green systems and sustainable stormwater solutions. Knowledge of applicable legislation and regulations related to stormwater, planning, and building processes.
