DUTIES We are looking for someone who wants to work as a native language teacher in Polish. Your duties as a native language teacher include teaching students in their native language according to the school's governing documents. From grade 6, you will assess students according to the subject's learning requirements. As a teacher, you shall actively work with values-based education according to our curricula. Assessment of students' knowledge may be part of the work with students. Testing within the native language may also be included. In your duties as a native language teacher, study guidance in the native language may also occur. As a study counselor, you will work in collaboration with students' other teachers and educators to guide newly arrived students according to curricula and learning requirements in all school subjects. When needed, you will also assist with translation during student meetings and in transferring information between school and student/home. You should be well versed in the school's governing documents and be able to implement them in practical work. Flexibility is of great importance as schedules and student groups may change during the term. Teaching takes place at different schools in Örkelljunga municipality. QUALIFICATIONS You must have good skills, both spoken and written, in Polish. Basic computer skills are also required. If you are a certified teacher in native language instruction, hold another teaching degree, or have a pedagogical degree, this is meritorious. If you are not a certified teacher, experience teaching students in primary or secondary school or other work within educational activities is required.
