WORK TASKS We are looking for you to work as a native language teacher in Bosnian. Your duties as a native language teacher include teaching students in their native language according to the school's governing documents. From grade 6 you assess students according to the subject's knowledge requirements. As a teacher you shall actively work with values-based education according to our curricula. Mapping of student knowledge can be part of working with students. Examinations within the native language may also be included. As a native language teacher your duties may also include study guidance in the native language. As a study guide you work in collaboration with students' other teachers and educators to guide newly arrived students according to course plans and knowledge requirements in all the school's subjects. As needed you also assist with translation during student meetings and when conveying information between school and student/home. You shall be well versed in the school's governing documents and be able to apply these in practical work. Flexibility is of great importance as schedule and student groups may change during the term. Teaching takes place at various schools in Örkelljunga Municipality. QUALIFICATIONS You shall have strong skills, both spoken and written, in Bosnian. Basic computer skills are also a requirement. If you are a certified teacher in native language instruction, hold another teacher degree or pedagogical degree this is a merit. If you are not a certified teacher then experience teaching students in elementary or secondary school or otherwise having worked in educational activities is required. We are looking for a positive and flexible person who is passionate about student development. When you submit your application we want a CV that shows your previous qualifications. A driver's license (category B) and access to a car are merits as the position may involve traveling between the municipality's schools. The position is 15%. We apply continuous selection.
