Energy Engineer with Advisory Focus

Would you like to combine your energy expertise with outward-facing advisory work and contribute to energy efficiency and strengthened competitiveness in Norrbotten? Energikontor Norr is seeking an energy engineer interested in the energy field who wants to work closely with businesses and individuals and help them translate energy and climate issues into concrete actions. We're looking for someone who enjoys technology, people, and business, and who feels equally comfortable visiting a company or supporting private individuals as conducting an energy analysis in the office. About the Role Part of the work is outward-facing and proactive. You will contact and visit businesses and private individuals, understand their operations and situations, and together identify opportunities within, for example, the energy and climate field. During 2027, an important part of the position will be work within municipal energy and climate advisory services (EKR). You will also work on Energikontor Norr's various business-oriented energy and development projects, such as E-FEKT. Your work will include: reaching out to, contacting, and visiting businesses in Norrbotten conducting energy and climate advisory services and identifying opportunities for both businesses and private individuals analyzing energy consumption and linking measures to economics and business value facilitating workshops and other activities collaborating with municipalities, business actors, and business development organizations Who We're Looking For You have relevant higher education or university degree in, for example, energy engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical power, energy systems, or equivalent. We place great emphasis on you understanding business and enjoying working with people. You need to understand that a technically sound solution must also work economically and practically. You are social, curious, and proactive, and comfortable taking the initiative to make first contact. Experience in business advisory services, business development, customer responsibility, business development organizations, or energy efficiency work is advantageous. Advantageous (but not required) is a couple of years of experience as a municipal energy and climate advisor, from a business development organization, or working as an energy engineer/energy technician in other public or private activities. A B-class driver's license is a requirement as the work involves travel and business visits throughout Norrbotten.
