We are seeking an Operational Safety Officer

We are seeking an Operational Safety Officer who will coach, instruct, monitor, and follow up on workplace safety work in our daily production. In the role of Safety Officer The Safety Officer role requires a person with a well-developed safety mindset and good communication skills. You will be responsible for preventing and maintaining a safe work environment in both our own organization, with our customers, and with subcontractors. You will have an operational role in our daily operations out in our production. You will conduct safety rounds, coach, monitor, and follow up on operations to ensure they comply with our safety procedures. Your personal qualities are important to us as they are crucial for your success as a Safety Officer with us. You will play an important role in Oresund DryDocks' mission to be a modern, sustainable, and safe workplace. You report to the HSEQ Manager and together with other colleagues in the department, you will work to continuously improve our operations. Qualifications We believe you have operational experience from a similar role in the marine, shipyard, industrial, or manufacturing industry and that you are a problem-solver with strong drive. You are thorough and organized in your work and have a pronounced safety mindset. You should be humble and preferably experienced in working in an international environment. At the same time, you must be both meticulous and demanding and have good communication skills. You are proactive, energetic, and flexible, with a positive "can-do" attitude to drive our workplace safety efforts. We are looking for someone who has: University or college education in occupational health and safety, engineering, natural sciences, or equivalent Several years of experience in occupational health and safety work Good knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation and systematic occupational health and safety work Good ability to communicate in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing Good system proficiency It is advantageous if you have experience in occupational health and safety work within process industry or other industrial operations.
