Laponiatjuottjudus together with Sámi Duodji is running a three-year heritage fund project focused on knowledge transfer between generations. The project concludes on 2027-12-31, and for the project's final year we are seeking a project manager and coordinator who wants to work with participating youth toward established goals. The focus is on a handicraft exhibition in a Sámi setting, development of educational materials within handicraft, and final reporting. The position is located at Laponiatjuottjudus office in Jokkmokk, with the possibility for remote work according to agreement. WORK TASKS The project manager ensures that established goals are achieved by leading, coordinating and organizing the project through to completion, including final reporting. In the project, an apprentice at 25% will also work with you for the purpose of learning project management. Qualifications We are looking for someone who has: – experience and knowledge to drive projects from start to goal – the ability to engage and lead – at least category B driving license It is a merit if you have: – proficiency in North or Lule Sámi in speech and writing – experience of previous educational work or studies – experience of previous work within Sámi culture and/or duodji We place great emphasis on personal qualities. Laponia's administrative organization – Laponiatjuottjudus – has developed through the unique Laponia process, where the Sámi villages, municipalities and state authorities have agreed on a joint, locally anchored administration of the world heritage site Laponia, based on a common value foundation and the area's invaluable values. The value foundation is based on a holistic approach to people and nature in interaction. The organization is formed by the nine Sámi villages in Laponia, Gällivare and Jokkmokk municipalities, the County Administrative Board of Norrbotten County and the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency. The organization is responsible for maintenance, operation and development of the world heritage site and its facilities.
We are seeking a workshop employee for our facility in Jokkmokk
As we prepare for the upcoming fall season, we are looking for a dedicated employee for our workshop in Jokkmokk. This is a temporary position from mid/late October for approximately 6-8 weeks. We are looking for someone who is practical, engaged, and has a genuine interest in learning new things. Workshop experience is a plus, but not required – for us, commitment, interest, and the right attitude matter most. We would like you to: Be handy, enjoy a fast pace and practical work Be thorough, responsible, and solution-oriented Have an interest in technology and workshop work Enjoy working both independently and with others Your tasks will include, among other things, switching from summer to winter tires and other common workshop duties. Cleaning and storing tires will also be a significant part of your work. Work hours vary, and during busy periods there may be some overtime.
