Welcome to us The Unit for Older Adults and Administration in Skarpnäck is responsible for public administration and follow-up of decided interventions according to the Swedish Social Services Act (SoL) and Act Concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments (LSS), and we are now seeking an experienced social worker. We offer Our office is located at Björkhagsplan 6. In addition to the unit manager, a methodology developer works closely with the social workers in daily operations. The unit currently has 8 social workers with public administration and follow-up responsibilities. In addition, there are staff members with assignments as elderly guides and administrative support, as well as specialized functions such as fee handlers, transport service handlers, and financial coordinators. Within the same operational area, there is an additional unit with 7 social workers and a preventive service. The handlers on both units collaborate extensively in daily work. As a work group, we actively work with quality management systems and development issues. Read more about the city as an employer here: https://jobba.stockholm/formaner Your role As a social worker with a flexible function, you do not have your own area but work with investigating needs, assessing, and following up interventions for persons over 65 years old according to SoL and LSS. Your work is based on legislation to ensure legally sound benefit assessments, and it is important that you have previous experience in public administration for older adults in Stockholm since the assignment requires a high degree of independence and knowledge. All assignments come through the unit manager and methodology developer. The assignment includes, among other things, the following work tasks: - Support during absences - Relieve colleagues when needed - Accompany on home visits/discharge planning - Lead case reviews when needed - Participate in the introduction of new employees Your competence and experience We are looking for someone who has: • Completed degree in social work and at least 2 years of experience in public administration for older adults • Good knowledge of current legislation • A professional approach to public administration • We also place great emphasis on personal suitability.
