Childcare Provider for Northern Skarpnäcks Preschools, Temporary Position

Workplace Description Northern Skarpnäcks Preschools consists of thirteen preschools in the district area that collaborate on pedagogical development. This is expressed through joint internal training and shared services that support the pedagogical content. The preschools have fine indoor environments and we have fantastic nature surrounding our preschools that provides endless opportunities for children to experience nature, movement and play. Our preschool environments should attract, inspire and challenge children in play-based learning and exploration together with other children and staff. Job Description We are now seeking substitute childcare providers for our preschools in the Northern Skarpnäcks preschool area. The position runs during fall term 2026 and spring term 2027, with start date by agreement. Your role as a substitute is to work together with the preschool teacher and other colleagues to create a rich environment for the children, where you as adults are active and co-exploring with the children, both in planned teaching and in spontaneous moments that arise during the day – both indoors and outdoors. We hope to find someone like you who has experience of being, based on planning but also independently, an active and present person for the children at preschool so they have a safe and educational time. We're looking for you who understand the importance of good and close collaboration with all preschool colleagues, all our guardians and other people close to the child. You are able to build trust and confidence in a professional manner and focus on collaboration and together finding solutions that benefit our children. Qualifications The position requires that you master the Swedish language and can communicate in Swedish both orally and in writing. You must be a trained childcare provider, and feel comfortable working both independently and in a group. We would like to see that you have experience working with a Reggio Emilia-inspired approach. It is important that you as a childcare provider are present and active with the children. You show joy, curiosity and engagement in the children's exploration and it is important that you ask staff what you should do or what they expect of you. At our preschools we work to ensure that children succeed and have a good time throughout the day. The prerequisite for this is that we as adults always take responsibility for situations that arise. We respond, meet and acknowledge the children, and show them that they are important and their words and actions are taken seriously. Our families are used to a well-functioning operation, and trust in our preschools is high, which means that you too are expected to treat everyone in a friendly and welcoming manner, for example by introducing yourself and greeting all children and families when you are together in the yard.
