In this role you will report to Sebastian Sihvo, Group Manager. About the role: As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a key role in a modern, highly automated factory environment with advanced and custom-built machinery. You will contribute to continuous improvements and technical development to optimize production performance in areas such as availability, cost, ergonomics, volume, and quality. You will gradually take ownership of manufacturing processes, with support from experienced colleagues in the team ensuring that equipment and methods are efficient, reliable, and technically up to date. You will participate in, and as your experience grows also lead, improvement initiatives and investment projects together with experienced colleagues and cross-functional stakeholders. A key part of the role is to maintain a holistic view of the production flow, understanding how technical changes impact both upstream and downstream processes. You will work hands-on and close to production, collaborating daily with operators, production managers, maintenance, and external suppliers as well as follow up on relevant KPIs. About you: You are an engineer at the beginning of your career who is curious about manufacturing, technology, and continuous improvement. You enjoy learning how production processes and equipment work and want to develop your ability to solve technical problems close to operations. You do not need to know everything from the start. What matters most is that you are eager to learn, comfortable asking questions, and motivated to contribute with new ideas. You enjoy collaborating with others and are willing to combine practical work in production with analysis and structured improvement activities. In a dynamic production environment, you embrace change and know how to prioritize effectively when conditions shift. You build strong relationships across functions and contribute to a collaborative, engaged team where knowledge sharing and support are key to success. Your skills and background: Degree in Engineering (e.g. Mechanical Engineering or similar) 1-2 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing, production engineering, or a similar role where you have developed a strong technical understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment Experience working in a high-paced production environment with daily priorities, continuous improvement and process optimization Ability to work cross-functionally with different stakeholders Basic understanding of financial aspects such as cost follow-up and investment justification Experience in automated manufacturing environments is highly valued Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written Location This position will be based in Huskvarna where the work will be conducted on site, with room for some flexibility. Husqvarna Die Casting & Machining is Northern Europe's largest and most advanced magnesium foundry, offering a complete in-house manufacturing process from casting to finished components. Our Die Casting & Machining (D&M) operations in Huskvarna are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to help develop future manufacturing processes in a highly automated environment with a strong focus on die casting, machining, automation, digitalization and industrialization. About the role As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be part of our engineering organization and work closely with Production, Maintenance, Quality, Project Management and R&D. You will play an important role in the industrialization of new products, developing production processes, verifying technical solutions and supporting the transfer from product development into serial production. This is a role close to both technology and production. You will spend time on the shop floor troubleshooting, investigating quality issues, identifying root causes and developing processes. Your role is not primarily to carry out every practical modification or repair yourself. Instead, you will focus on understanding the technical challenge, defining the right solution and providing the technical input needed for Process Technicians, Maintenance Technicians or external suppliers to implement it. In short, we are looking for someone who enjoys understanding how things work, why they fail and how they can be improved. Your work may include: Die Casting processes for magnesium and aluminium Die Casting tools and process equipment Automation and robotics CAD and 3D modelling Continuous improvement and production development Investments and industrialization projects Troubleshooting and root cause analysis You will join Husqvarna Manufacturing's technical organization of around 40 technicians and engineers, where curiosity, learning and technical development are encouraged. About you We are looking for someone with a genuine and broad interest in technology. About the Role As a production engineer, you will be an important part of an operation in an exciting development phase. As someone new to the role, you will receive a well-developed introduction with mentoring and support from experienced colleagues. You will progressively take on your own responsibility as you become familiar with the products, processes, and operations.
