Technical Business Developer – New Sales at Bulten in Hallstahammar
Do you see business opportunities where others see a screw, a component, or a technical challenge? We're now looking for you to help develop the next generation of business for our operations in Hallstahammar. This is the role for someone who can combine technical understanding with business drive and the ability to build relationships. Perhaps you already work with technical B2B sales, or you're an engineer or technician who has discovered that you thrive best with customers, where new ideas and business opportunities emerge. About the Role As a Technical Business Developer, you'll have a clear mandate: find, initiate, and develop new business and new customers. You will actively work the market, identify new applications and business opportunities, and build relationships with the right people at potential customers. When an opportunity is identified, you'll take on a coordinating role in the commercial process. You're the one who sees the customer's needs, the technical opportunity, and the business potential. To turn the business into actual success, there are competent support functions that you'll involve in the sales process up to order. You'll work closely with the engineering and sales organization in Hallstahammar and also collaborate with colleagues across the broader group in, among other places, Poland and Germany. The role includes customer relationship management and new customer sales to the Nordic manufacturing industry, business development, RFQ and quotation processes, and coordinating customer requirements and prototype development. Who We're Looking For We're looking for someone with experience in B2B sales, business development, or customer-facing work in manufacturing or technical industries. You understand the industry and its business. Experience and networks within Swedish and Nordic manufacturing industries are particularly interesting. You need a solid technical foundation. Perhaps you're an engineer in mechanics, materials, or machine engineering, or you've built up equivalent understanding through years of working with technical products and industrial customers. For us, the combination is more important than the exact degree: you need to both understand the technology and want to create business from it. As a person, you're outward-facing, curious, and self-driven. You enjoy making new contacts, opening doors, and taking initiative. You have a natural business sense and the ability to see opportunities even outside the obvious customer segments. You speak and write Swedish and English fluently. A Role with Great Opportunities A lot is happening in the business right now. A new organization is taking shape, investments and development plans continue, and the ambition is clear: the business will continue to grow and create new opportunities. For you, this means great opportunities to make an impact. You won't arrive to a predetermined map of exactly which customers to work with – you'll help draw it. The role is based in Hallstahammar and involves travel, primarily within the Nordic region and the Baltics. As a guideline, travel is estimated at around eight days per month. Location: Hallstahammar Scope: Full-time, permanent Travel: Primarily Nordic region and Baltics About Bulten Bulten's operations in Hallstahammar have a long industrial history and a strong international position in the manufacturing of complex fastening elements. Here there is solid expertise covering the entire product flow from sales, manufacturing, and distribution, and an organization where different functions work closely together to create long-term value for customers. At the same time, the business is in an exciting development phase. A new organizational structure is taking shape, with a clear focus on operational activities and an ambition to create even greater local independence. Decisions should be made closer to the business, and employees should have good opportunities to influence within their respective areas. This creates shorter decision-making paths, clearer responsibility, and an organization with close links between business, engineering, and production. Meanwhile, the business's development agenda is firmly in place. The ambition is to continue investing in production, products, expertise, and new business opportunities. Business development is a priority area, and the organization is also being strengthened in several important support functions. For you coming into the organization, this means an interesting combination: the stability and knowledge of an established industrial business, together with the opportunity to help shape the next chapter. There's plenty of experience to draw on here, but also room for new ideas and ways of working. The organization is characterized by close collaboration and a willingness to help each other, while each function is expected to take responsibility for its area and contribute to the whole. It's simply an exciting time to join if you want to be close to the business, see the results of your work, and help develop an organization that has history, expertise, and clear ambitions moving forward.
