Preschool Teacher

The Bränninge preschool area consists of Bränninge Preschool and Solhöjdens Preschool. The preschools have capacity for 80 children each, divided into two departments for children ages 1–3 and two departments for children ages 3–5. The preschools work closely with special education teachers and have well-developed routines for adaptations and interventions at both the individual child and group levels. The preschools in Habo are open 6:30–18:00, and we have staff meetings approximately once per month from 17:00–19:00. During the spring, we need to expand our staffing by 1–2 positions at 75–100%. 2 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES You actively promote each child's development and learning through a conscious pedagogical approach. The role includes planning, implementing, and evaluating education with reference to the curriculum goals and the preschool's reflection resources. We use a document to observe each child's current level in order to clarify what instruction the teachers need to plan. This work happens both individually and collaboratively within the team to create conditions for all children to develop and thrive with us. Habo Municipality has a shared focus on accessible learning environments where children's safety, attendance, and learning are overarching goals. This school year, our unit is using shared literature as professional development to advance our instruction, learning environments, and professional expertise. QUALIFICATIONS We prefer that you hold a preschool teacher certification with authorization to conduct instruction in preschool. Experience working as a preschool teacher is a merit. We are looking for someone who is engaged, easy to collaborate with, and skilled at communication. You see your role as meeting children and building trusting relationships with them. You engage with parents in a positive and trustworthy manner, and you enjoy both taking independent responsibility and working collaboratively with colleagues. Employment Type: Fixed-term contract.
