About the positions Social Secretary – Investigation As a social secretary in investigation, you work with children and young people up to 21 years old and their parents. You investigate the situation and support needs of children and young people, make decisions and follow up on implemented measures. The work involves many contacts and cooperation with children, guardians, networks and other professionals. You therefore need to be comfortable in a role where you bring different parts together and keep the child's needs and perspective in focus. Social Secretary – Child Follow-up As a social secretary with a focus on child follow-up, you follow children and young people who are placed in foster homes. You have an important role in ensuring that the child receives the care, security and support that the child needs during their placement. You have contact with the child and the biological parents and work closely with the foster family secretaries regarding the placed child. We strive to create participation and good relationships between the child, the biological parents and the foster home. Our foster homes are located in different places in Sweden, which means that travel is part of the job. The work, whether as an investigator or child follow-up specialist, is based on SoL and LVU and we work according to BBIC – Children's Needs in Focus. Qualifications We are looking for someone who is trained as a social worker (socionom) or has other education deemed equivalent for authority work concerning children and young people. If you have equivalent education but need to complete a single course, we can find a solution if you are the right person for us. It is a merit if you have experience of authority work with children and young people. Substitute Foster Care Recruiter for the Family Foster Care Team GGVV
We are now seeking a substitute foster care recruiter for our joint recruitment team within the Family Foster Care Team GGVV. We are four municipalities—Gislaved, Gnosjö, Värnamo, and Vaggeryd—working together to ensure that children and young people have access to safe and sustainable foster homes. The recruitment team is located in Gislaved Municipality and works on behalf of all four municipalities. This position is a temporary assignment covering for a colleague on parental leave. The position is full-time (100%) divided into 70% foster care recruitment and 30% various tasks within foster care recruitment, child follow-up, and investigation. Responsibilities As a foster care recruiter, you will work on recruiting foster homes together with another recruiter. You will be part of the investigation process for approving foster homes by, among other things, making initial contacts, conducting interviews, and making home visits—that is, the initial screening of a potential foster home. You need to be able to market the assignment, find new recruitment contacts, and quickly respond to and maintain contact with interested families. Travel and home visits to inform and conduct interviews are also part of the work. Work is conducted during daytime hours, but some marketing takes place in the evenings and on weekends; training sessions may also be held in the evenings. The work includes collaboration with child secretaries and investigation secretaries in the children and youth units. You will work particularly closely with our other recruiter and together with the foster care case workers who, after investigation, will take responsibility for the foster home you help investigate. The work includes taking responsibility for and participating in the development of foster care services together with your colleagues and management. Organizing training for foster homes and foster care secretaries, such as "A Home to Grow In." Qualifications Sociology degree or other relevant university education. Experience working within family care previously. It is an advantage if you have experience investigating contractors, experience in municipal operations, good administrative skills, and can express yourself well verbally and in writing. To succeed in this role, you are flexible, service-oriented, and have the ability to build trusting relationships. Furthermore, you are structured, have good collaboration skills, and can see the bigger picture. To succeed in this role, you will need to work independently and prioritize your own work in consultation with your immediate supervisor. You should be the "face" of our 4 municipalities, and with commitment and positivity, you want to market us as a contractor. You also need to have the ability and willingness to negotiate financial matters with prospective foster families.
