Head of Maintenance
A snapshot of your day
Step into a central leadership role where you are responsible for Maintenance within Installed Fleet Engineering and help ensure long-term reliability, availability, and competitiveness of Siemens Energy's installed fleet of mid-size gas turbines.
You lead operations within maintenance strategies, service concepts, refurbishment, repair development, spare parts, and special maintenance tools. Your daily work is characterized by close collaboration with specialists, product support, workshops, regions, customers, and engineering organizations. You balance strategic decisions, employee development, and operational problem-solving.
With your technical understanding and leadership, you contribute to translating experience from the installed fleet into improved maintenance plans, repair methods, and service offerings that create value for our customers worldwide.
How you will make an impact
Lead and develop teams in maintenance engineering, refurbishment, spare parts, and special maintenance tools.
Ensure competitive and technically robust solutions for maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of the installed fleet.
Responsible for developing and managing maintenance strategies, maintenance plans, and service concepts for our gas turbines.
Ensure that recommended service actions, spare part replacements, and maintenance intervals balance reliability, safety, and lifecycle cost.
Responsible for strategies related to new and refurbished spare parts with focus on availability, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
Drive the development of repair methods, special tools, and maintenance concepts that strengthen Siemens Energy's service offering and reduce customers' lifecycle costs.
Prioritize and balance technical, commercial, and operational requirements in close collaboration with regions, workshops, procurement, product support, and engineering organizations.
Ensure that operations deliver according to set objectives regarding quality, safety, delivery precision, and economics.
What you bring
Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical engineering or other relevant technical field, or equivalent experience.
Substantial experience in service, maintenance, product development, technical support, or other relevant activities in industry, energy, aviation, or similar technology-intensive sectors.
Documented experience leading and developing employees and teams.
Good technical understanding and ability to discuss complex technical issues with specialists, customers, and other stakeholders.
Experience with maintenance strategies, spare parts, repair solutions, or lifecycle management is a plus.
Strong collaboration skills and ability to deliver results through cooperation across organizational boundaries.
A solution-oriented and business-minded approach with the ability to combine short-term needs with long-term development.
About the team
You will become part of Installed Fleet Engineering, an organization focused on maximizing the value of Siemens Energy's installed gas turbine fleet through technical expertise, innovation, and customer focus.
The Maintenance function brings together expertise in maintenance strategies, spare parts management, refurbishment, repair development, and special maintenance tools. The team is responsible for developing and managing maintenance concepts, spare parts solutions, and repair methods that ensure high reliability and long-term competitiveness of the installed fleet.
Together you will drive the development of future maintenance and repair solutions and contribute to Siemens Energy's goal of delivering reliable and sustainable energy worldwide.
