About the Department Would you like to develop in your role as a nursing assistant at a small hospital with great expertise? Welcome to Department 67 at the Internal Medicine Clinic, Mora Hospital. Department 67 is an internal medicine acute care unit with two specialty areas: cardiology and neurology with a focus on stroke and geriatrics. Both areas have dedicated specialist physicians. The department is divided into two units based on our specializations and currently has 18 patient beds, distributed across three care teams, with plans to expand to 20 beds in the near future. We work in multidisciplinary teams where nursing assistants, registered nurses, and physicians collaborate closely with the patient at the center. We also have other paramedical professionals such as physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and social workers who work with us and exchange knowledge. About the Operation Are you a nursing assistant and want to contribute? Mora is a city with proximity to nature and mountains that invites active outdoor life year-round. Mora Hospital is one of Region Dalarna's two acute care hospitals. Our catchment area has approximately 80,000 residents, but thanks to outdoor facilities in Sälen and Idre and major sporting events both summer and winter, we also receive many visitors. At Mora Hospital you'll experience the coziness of a small hospital combined with the role of a trauma hospital. The Operation Anesthesia ICU Clinic consists of the intensive care unit (ICU), central operating room (C-op), day surgery (DKM), and Sterile Technology. The ICU cares for approximately 600-700 intensive care patients per year, and within C-op and DKM a total of 4,500-5,000 operations are performed annually, primarily in surgery and orthopedics but also urology and gynecology. Sterile Technology handles medical devices from the hospital as well as from health centers throughout Region Dalarna. We have close collaboration with other clinics and also assist with external assignments such as sedation at clinics, emergency response teams, and transports to other hospitals. Responsibilities Care in the ICU is highly specialized and technology-intensive. As a nursing assistant you work in pairs with a nurse.
