The Rescue Service's mission is to increase safety and reduce exposure to unwanted events and prevent accidents for those who live, work, or visit the municipality. On-call rescue personnel are an important part of Swedish rescue services and an important resource for preventing accidents, as well as working with fire suppression, rescue operations at traffic accidents, hazardous material cleanup, cardiac arrest calls, and more.
