FRA is growing, including our operations on Gotland, which now need to be strengthened with an additional signal intelligence analyst specializing in technical signals intelligence (TSINT). Your Assignment As a signal intelligence analyst, you'll be part of the signals intelligence division, which conducts signals intelligence according to the Act on Signals Intelligence in Defense Intelligence Activities. FRA's signals intelligence aims to provide information and warning about conditions in the international environment. This can involve potential threats to Sweden, as well as supporting the government's foreign, security, and defense policy. The unit you'll join consists of a well-coordinated team where staff satisfaction is high. The employment begins with 4 months of introduction and practical training at another location. After that, you'll become part of a team where each person is important for solving your shared tasks. You'll be the first link in an exciting production chain where you're responsible for collecting and analyzing technical signals, primarily radar signals. Collaboration and reporting to our clients will also be part of your duties. With us, you'll grow into your role, and as you develop, you'll have opportunities to work more in-depth with signal processing. Since the position involves both high and low-intensity operations, you'll work under varying circumstances and conditions. In this role, you'll work in three shifts, including weekends and nights. The workplace is in Visby, but service at other locations and on mobile platforms may occur. Your Mission As a signal intelligence analyst, you will be part of the Signal Intelligence Division, which conducts signal intelligence operations according to the Act on Signal Intelligence in Defense Intelligence Activities. FRA's signal intelligence aims to provide information and warning about conditions in the world around us. As a signal intelligence analyst, you are the first link in an exciting production chain. You work to find, identify, and interpret communication in foreign signals. You also make the initial assessment of material that will later be presented as completed reports to our clients. The work is performed both independently and in collaboration with others, and the pace of work varies greatly. You work in shifts, as operations run during daytime, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. The position begins with approximately 12 months of internal language training followed by approximately 6 months of specialized training. All basic training takes place on Gotland.
