As Area Sales Manager for Sweden, you report to the Sales Manager Nordics and have full commercial responsibility for one of Vikan's most established and strategically important markets in the Nordic region. Sweden is a well-established market with a strong customer base, long-term customer relationships, and high brand awareness. Your mission will be to build on these strengths by deepening relationships with existing customers, creating new business opportunities, and ensuring continued profitable growth in the Swedish market. This is a strategically important role that combines long-term customer development with practical field sales work. The role carries significant responsibility and gives you the opportunity to directly influence Vikan's continued success in Sweden. You will work from a home office and have great freedom to plan your activities, manage your budget, and implement your sales strategy. The role includes full budget responsibility, annual contract negotiations, activity planning, and monthly reporting to the Sales Manager Nordics. You will work closely with the other Area Sales Manager in Sweden and collaborate with Area Sales Managers in the rest of the Nordic region. The position involves regular travel within southern Sweden, typically two to four days per week, and travel to other Scandinavian countries also occurs. Your responsibilities You have both strategic and operational responsibility for Vikan's commercial presence in the Swedish market. Your primary focus is the food and beverage industry, with complementary responsibility for foodservice, the cleaning sector, and public organizations. You strengthen Vikan's position in an already established market by developing existing customer relationships, increasing business with current customers, and identifying new opportunities within strategic segments, with particular focus on end users in the food and beverage industry. You develop and manage sales relationships with key distributors and end users. Approximately 70% of your time is spent with end users and 30% with distributors. You implement and follow up on sales and marketing activities and work in a structured and documented manner in Salesforce CRM. You conduct facility visits, manage documentation related to regulatory compliance (DoC), and use Vikan's digital platforms to create value for customers and distributors. You lead regular business reviews with key decision makers, summarize meetings, and ensure that the right internal resources within Vikan are involved to support customer development and long-term partnerships. You conduct joint customer visits with the sales team and Vikan's application specialists to strengthen customer relationships and identify development opportunities. You provide training on products and hygiene concepts for key stakeholders, including distributors and end users, focusing on products, regulations, food safety, and Vikan's digital tools. You develop and maintain the overall business plan for Sweden, produce monthly sales reports to the Sales Manager Nordics, and conduct quarterly reviews and adjustments to ensure continued profitable growth. You negotiate and secure mutually beneficial agreements with key customers on an annual basis in collaboration with the Sales Manager Nordics. You represent Vikan at industry trade shows, exhibitions, and customer events to strengthen the brand and contribute to continued growth in the Swedish market. Qualifications Solid and documented experience in B2B sales with proven results where sales targets are regularly met or exceeded. Previous experience from the food industry – this is a requirement for the position. Swedish as a native language and good professional communication skills in English. Documented ability to build, develop, and maintain long-term business relationships with distributors, key customers, and end users. Strong commercial understanding and experience in both developing existing customer relationships and driving new business growth. Structured and independent work style with the ability to plan and drive work from a home office. Willingness and ability to travel within Sweden and, if needed, to other Scandinavian countries. Merits Experience with CRM systems, particularly Salesforce. Experience with ERP systems (Vikan uses AXAPTA) and/or Business Intelligence tools (Vikan uses Targit). Experience with hygiene regulations, cleaning concepts, or food safety standards within the food and beverage industry. Participation in trade shows and industry events within the food industry. Previous experience from a Scandinavian or international sales organization. The primary market focus is the Nordic region, while you coordinate our European service operations and service technicians in Germany, Spain, and the UK, among others. You will • Develop and implement our aftermarket and service strategy. • Drive business development toward the installed base, initially with a focus on the Nordic region. • Build structure for active customer engagement and develop existing contract customers. • Develop and sell service offerings both with and without service agreements. • Increase spare parts sales and develop commercial models for service, agreements, and spare parts. • Ensure efficient processes from customer needs and quotations to orders and delivery. • Coordinate European service operations and build an efficient combination of internal technicians and external partners. • Establish strategic partnerships in relevant markets. • Create KPIs and working methods that provide control over sales, profitability, customer relationships, and delivery. • Actively contribute to the company's continued commercial and organizational development. Who Are You? You are a commercially oriented and confident, present leader. Comfortable with shaping European service and pricing models as well as discussing a service agreement with a key customer or securing a critical delivery. You set clear direction, create engagement, and help people grow and perform together. You build trust with customers, technicians, and partners, and have the perseverance to ensure processes and working methods function over time. We believe you have • Solid experience in aftermarket, service, technical sales, or business development in B2B. • Documented ability to develop sales and profitability from an installed base. • Experience with service agreements, spare parts business, pricing, and profitability management. • Experience building or developing service organizations, preferably with both internal technicians and external partners. • Experience with international operations and coordination across multiple markets. • Strong commercial understanding and interest in technology and customer operations. • Excellent Swedish and English, both spoken and written; additional European languages are advantageous.
