What you can expect from the position As a Department Manager, you are responsible for one of the store's departments, such as Car/Motorcycle/Car Care, Construction/Tools, or Leisure/Boat/Home/Office/Technology. This means you are the management team's extended arm in operations. Your responsibility includes ensuring that the department is always well-organized, sales-focused, and customer-ready with well-stocked and inviting shelves. You create inspiring seasonal displays, suggest which products are suitable for end-caps and cross-selling opportunities. Order and organization are one of our core values, and in this role you ensure that signage and directions are clear and correct. You are also responsible for your department's inventory. An important part of your role is to motivate and engage your colleagues and share your knowledge about your department's products. Together with your colleagues, you pick up merchandise and coach them to provide Biltema's customers with the best possible service. PhD Student in Electric Power Engineering

Electric Power Engineering is part of the Energy Science Division at the Department of Engineering Sciences and Mathematics. Within Electric Power Engineering, we have close collaboration with industry and authorities, both in research projects and student projects. The research maintains a high international standard and is conducted in collaboration with researchers around the world. In the field of power quality, the subject has a strong international reputation thanks to world-leading research. Subject Description The research subject of electric power engineering encompasses studies of the system for generation, transport and use of electrical energy as well as studies of the interaction between the electricity grid, power generation and power consumption. Project Description The project aims to develop models to describe how HVDC installations affect and are affected by power quality in the electricity grid up to 150 kHz. Measurements will be used to further develop existing models and distinguish between primary and secondary emissions as well as non-linear interactions. The results will form the basis for a general model for emissions and immunity related to HVDC installations. The study also includes resonances, interaction between multiple installations and effects on transformers and other grid-connected equipment. The project is conducted in collaboration between LTU and Hitachi Energy. Duties A PhD student position involves both theoretical and practical work. As a PhD student, you will be trained in scientific work through publication of scientific articles in journals and at national and international conferences. You will also take mandatory and optional doctoral courses. Additionally, you may have the opportunity to try the teaching role. As a researcher, you work as a neutral party in many contexts, which provides a fantastic opportunity to learn to lead challenging development projects. Your work will primarily consist of theoretical models and simulations, but measurements in both laboratory and field settings may also be included. Qualifications You are eligible to apply for this position if you have a Master of Science degree (MSc) or equivalent technical degree with a focus relevant to research in electric power engineering, for example electrical engineering, electronics, energy engineering, technical physics or similar fields. Alternatively, a person meets the general eligibility requirements for education at the research level if they: have completed a degree at advanced level, have completed higher education studies of at least 240 credits, of which at least 60 credits at advanced level, or have acquired equivalent knowledge in another way, within or outside the country. Good knowledge of both written and spoken English is a requirement. Previous experience in research, development work or research-oriented education in an area relevant to the duties is considered a merit. Furthermore, the ability to contribute to the group's teaching (in Swedish) is also a merit.
