Childcare Night Owl? A 1-Year-Old is Looking for You!
We are now seeking long-term personal assistants for active night work in a meaningful assignment in Luleå. You will work as an assistant to a happy and busy boy who is 16 months old and requires supervision due to respiratory equipment. During the night, you and a colleague will be responsible for watching over him while he sleeps to ensure his safety. This may involve everything from providing a calm and reassuring embrace when he wakes up upset to quickly being on hand when he needs his pacifier. Previous experience is not required – all training and orientation will be provided on-site. Apply today, selection is ongoing! Job Information Professionals Nord is recruiting two personal assistants on behalf of Novum Assistans. This is a direct placement, meaning the recruitment process takes place through Professionals Nord and you will be employed directly by Novum Assistans. This recruitment process is handled by Professionals Nord, and Novum Assistans requests that all questions regarding the position be directed to [email protected] You will receive: · Employment at 75% capacity, with the possibility to work up to 100% · Fixed hourly wage plus other compensation according to collective agreement · Pleasant work environment in a large villa with good conditions for night work · Work with dual staffing, meaning you always work together with an awake colleague Job Responsibilities All work is performed with awake dual staffing, and employment begins with thorough training and orientation. Therefore, no prior experience or care background is required. Here you are offered meaningful, awake night work as a personal assistant with a focus on supervision and care of a 16-month-old boy in his home. The boy was born with a weakened airway and therefore breathes through a small plastic tube in his throat (called a Trach). Otherwise, he is a happy and completely healthy little boy. During the night, your main task is to watch over him while he sleeps to ensure he sleeps safely. This means you monitor the trach and ensure the plastic tube is kept clean using a convenient steam machine and a small medical "vacuum." Beyond supervision, you will also handle simple practical tasks, such as inventorying materials in the storage room, ensuring the boy's clothes are in order, and cleaning pacifiers for the coming day. The boy usually sleeps through the entire night, which means night shifts are typically characterized by calm and tranquility – while your presence and attention are always important. The family consists of the boy, his mother and father, and the family dog. They live in a large, newly renovated villa with good bus connections and excellent conditions for a pleasant work environment. Work hours are 21:00–07:00 and shifts may occur on both weekdays and weekends. We are Looking for You: We believe your personal qualities are crucial for thriving in the role and succeeding in the assignment. You are a person who loves children and is caring, genuinely enjoying working with small children and contributing to their sense of security. Continuity and stability are important in this role, so we are looking for someone who wants to work long-term and who sees the value in following a child over time. As a person, you are calm, empathetic, and responsible. You have a good ability to be present and attentive even in quiet and peaceful environments. You understand that night work requires structure around sleep and recovery to keep yourself awake and focused even during quiet nights. You are confident in occupying yourself during calm moments, while always keeping the child's needs in focus. Furthermore, you are punctual, reliable, and flexible, with the ability to cover for colleagues when needed. You also have a good understanding of what it means to work in someone's home and always act professionally, respectfully, and considerately in the home environment. All necessary training and orientation will be provided on-site, so previous experience is not a requirement for this role. Perhaps you have worked with children or in care services, or you are simply a naturally child-loving, responsible, and caring person seeking long-term employment. Job Requirements: · Swedish in speech and writing · Non-smoker Meritorious: · Experience working with children · Experience in care or social services START: Immediately SCOPE: 75% with possibility of 100% LOCATION: Luleå SELECTION: Ongoing CONTACT: Fanny Skott Apply for the position by clicking "apply for the job" below. Introduction Would you like a job where your days are filled with singing, laughter, and lots of energy – while making a real difference in a child's life? Are you someone who gets energized by little ones and would rather sit on the floor than behind a desk? Then we're looking for you! We are now seeking a long-term personal assistant for daytime work in an exciting and meaningful position in Luleå. You will work as an assistant to a happy, energetic, and active boy who is 18 months old and requires supervision due to his breathing support device. Otherwise, he is a healthy child with plenty of energy, a strong will, and great curiosity about the world. This is a daytime role focused on play, development, and active presence. There is singing, reading books, building towers, exploring, and chasing little feet. We are looking for someone who is energetic, playful, and present – and who naturally sits down on the floor and joins in. Apply today – selection is ongoing! Job Information Professionals Nord is seeking a personal assistant on behalf of Novum Assistans. This is a direct placement, meaning the recruitment process occurs through Professionals Nord and you will be employed directly by Novum Assistans. The position is approximately 30 hours per week = 75 percent with the possibility of additional shifts. Work is scheduled during daytime hours (07–17) on weekdays and follows a fixed rotating schedule. The arrangement will be determined upon hire and can be structured in different ways from the start to suit the right candidate. Once the schedule is agreed upon, it is long-term and continues indefinitely. This is not a temporary position, but a long-term and scheduled role where continuity is very important. Responsibilities As a daytime assistant, you are an active and present part of a young child's daily life. This job is full of movement, laughter, and development. Days consist of reading books, singing songs, building towers that crumble, chasing little feet across the living room floor, and discovering the world together. You help with everything that comes with caring for a toddler: changing diapers, dressing and undressing, brushing hair, preparing snacks, and being there when emotions shift quickly. You support him in developing his communication, exploring new things, and feeling secure in his daily routine. It is work where you spend a lot of time on the floor, moving quickly, staying active, and being fully present in the moment. At the same time, there is an important component related to his breathing. The boy was born with a weakened airway and therefore breathes through a small tube in his throat, called a tracheostomy. In practice, this means that together with your colleague, you are responsible for monitoring this during the day. You keep watch over the tracheostomy, help with inhalations when needed, and ensure the tube stays clean using a convenient steam machine and a small medical
