Substitute Teacher in Textile Crafts Grades 3-9 - Rosenholmsskolan

We are looking for a teacher to substitute in textile crafts while our current teacher takes parental leave. Rosenholmsskolan is located in Forserum and is Nässjö Municipality's only F-9 school (grades preschool through 9). According to forecasts, the community and school are growing. Currently, the school has approximately 415 students ranging from 6-16 years old. Forserum is a small community that is easily accessible from both Nässjö and Jönköping. It takes about 15 minutes by train. The school has highly qualified teachers and operations are in constant development. Since it is Nässjö Municipality's only F-9 school, we want to leverage its advantages. Decision-making processes are fast and we are flexible in our work methods. We are a school that works with entire grade levels rather than class divisions. We have chosen this approach to create flexible groups based on, for example, subject matter and/or student needs. Each class always has at least two mentors/class leaders. We have an active student support team with special educators assigned to different classes. The team meets weekly to discuss student matters as well as preventive work at both group and individual levels. Our goal at Rosenholmsskolan is for all students to be seen and challenged according to their own circumstances, experiences, and needs. To ensure all students feel safe at school, we place great emphasis on our values-based work, which we call STARS. We develop our abilities to respect each other's differences and together create a stimulating learning environment. Increased learning - equality - meeting places; three key values that characterize all work in Nässjö Municipality's schools, a mid-sized municipality with approximately 30,000 residents in the Småland highlands. As an applicant, you need to be flexible and knowledgeable in many different areas. You enjoy challenges and finding solutions for individual students' different needs to succeed in compulsory school. Your duties include teaching textile crafts in grades 3-9, and a handover from the current teacher will take place. If possible, you may also have the opportunity to work alongside the current teacher initially. QUALIFICATIONS • Have a teaching degree with certification to teach textile crafts or other experience in teaching and textile crafts • Are flexible and responsive to change • Have good organizational skills • Have a positive attitude • Enjoy challenges • Show strong commitment to our students • Can create a good working environment with both students and staff We place great importance on personal suitability.
