Your focus is on creating the best conditions for each student in a safe and trusting environment. You analyze your own teaching and find strategies to reach each student and contribute to increased goal achievement. You will teach students in grades 4-6 of elementary school in mathematics and science, educating and supporting students in their social and academic development. You challenge students to take their own initiative, develop their interests, and take responsibility for themselves and others. Your role at the middle level begins as a mentor in grade 6 where you teach together with a colleague in that grade. You have clear leadership and work to bring students along by creating good relationships and belief in student ability. In your role as mentor, you have specific responsibility for a group of students, giving you the opportunity to follow more closely their academic development and personal growth. As a mentor, you inform and keep students' guardians updated about their academic development through regular development meetings. Qualifications You are a certified teacher for grades 4-6 with credentials in Math and Science. It is a merit if you also have credentials in Swedish and Design/Technology. Previous experience working as a teacher is viewed as a merit. You have good insight into and knowledge of school curriculum documents and can effectively use them in your daily work. Furthermore, you have good didactic and pedagogical ability and can therefore lead and organize your work to create a good study environment and learning atmosphere for our students throughout their school day. Based on evidence-based research, you can develop your work and with good knowledge and practice, you work efficiently with relevant digital tools. Of course, you have a professional approach and work for good relationships with our students, their guardians, and all your colleagues at school. You thrive in a team player role where you humbly and unpretentiously share your knowledge for the benefit of students, while at the same time leading yourself and contributing to colleagues' development. As a person, you have a professional approach and create good relationships, are low-key in your interactions, and approach students, guardians, and situations with calm. You have a good sense of what this particular student or group needs and vary and adapt the learning situation accordingly so that students develop based on their abilities. You always look out for the student's best interest and work to accommodate students with special needs in your teaching throughout the day. You have knowledge of and experience working with students in the autism spectrum and adapt your approach based on student needs in the group. We welcome your application! About the Workplace Oxievångsskolan is an elementary school (grades F-9) where we work to ensure every student succeeds throughout and have a shared development focus F-9. The school has approximately 700 students plus a special education program. F-6, special education, and grades 7-9 are located in different buildings. At Oxievångsskolan F-9, we work with a shared and important commitment to students' language development and reading across all subjects. During the 26/27 school year, we will also focus on further developing our math instruction. The school actively works with the global goals, democracy education, and participates in the European Parliament's Ambassador School Programme (EPAS).
