Job Responsibilities
Welcome to Mellanhedsskolan!
Mellanhedsskolan has two special education groups. In this role, you will plan and deliver instruction in our special education group for grades 3–6 based on applicable curriculum standards and student needs. You will work systematically to evaluate and develop instruction. In collaboration with a special education specialist, you and your immediate colleagues will ensure that instruction supports student learning and academic progress. You will collaborate with guardians, colleagues, student support services, and school administration, and coordinate with external partners as needed.
Qualifications
We are looking for a certified elementary teacher with credentials to teach grades 4–6. You will primarily teach Swedish, mathematics, and natural sciences. You also have experience with assessment and grading in grade 6. In addition to your certification, you must have experience working with students who require special support to succeed in their learning and academic progress. You may have gained this experience by working in a special education group, resource school, or other targeted small-group instruction program. You have the ability to build strong relationships with students, their guardians, and colleagues at school. You have good knowledge of school curriculum standards and develop your work in line with current research.

Mellanhedsskolan serves students from preschool through grade 9, as well as adapted elementary school for grades 1–9. Approximately 1,100 students attend the school. Mellanhedsskolan operates in two buildings: Mellanheden 1 serves grades F–3, while Mellanheden 2 serves grades 4–9.
