The Community Development Administration plays a key role in this. We are now seeking two planning architects for the Planning Unit who want to drive development forward. The administration consists of approximately 110 employees and works with everything from building permits and detailed planning to strategic urban planning, land development and exploitation, as well as environmental and climate issues. The breadth of projects and development in Borås makes work as a planning architect with us both varied and challenging. As a planning architect, you will primarily lead detailed planning projects but also work as an assistant case handler in others' projects. You will also have the opportunity to lead various types of development projects. We work in project form on our detailed plans, where each plan is handled by work groups that bring together the necessary expertise. As a planning architect, your task is to lead these work groups. This requires good communication, clarity, and coordination both internally within the municipality and externally with consultants, authorities, and partners. You must be able to balance different interests and make trade-offs, take responsibility for timelines, structure and coordination of consultants, preparation of planning documents and materials for political decisions, etc. You are also expected in your work role to provide well-founded recommendations to decision-makers. Political engagement is high around our detailed plans, and there is clear prioritization of which projects we work on. This is reviewed and revised annually. You You have a strong interest in leading larger projects and have good knowledge of the different phases in the community development process. You have an interest in leading everything from densification projects, complex urban development projects, infrastructure projects, analysis work in early phases, to cross-administrative development work. You are educated within community development such as planning architect, architect, landscape architect, or other education that we consider equivalent. You have several years of experience working as a planning architect with case handling responsibility and experience in driving, maintaining your own planning projects and producing required documents. Work with detailed planning in municipal operations is a merit. Knowledge of current planning and building legislation and the Environmental Code is important, as is an interest in good urban design and planning. We are looking for someone who is communicative, creative, analytical, responsive, and good at collaborating. You have a good ability to hold together, plan, and drive a work process and work group forward. Since a large part of work as a planning architect involves communicating with people, it is important that you have good pedagogical skills and can express yourself in Swedish in speech and writing. In this role you work closely with our customers and are responsible for handling and following up on orders as well as answering questions, primarily via email but also by phone. You have many points of contact in your daily work and collaborate both internally with colleagues in purchasing, warehouse, and logistics, as well as externally with our customers. Therefore, it is important that you enjoy a role where you build relationships and contribute to a positive customer experience. Qualifications We are looking for someone who is fluent in both Swedish and Finnish, both spoken and written, and who has experience in customer service or another service-oriented role with extensive customer contact. As a person you are: • service-oriented and positive • structured and thorough • flexible and responsible You have a natural commitment and are happy to contribute to both the team's and the company's development. You master Swedish, Finnish, and English in speech and writing and are experienced working in business systems and the Office suite. Additional language skills are a merit, but not required.
