As a family support coordinator, you have an important role in supporting people who help, care for, or support a loved one. Through counseling, conversations, information, and collaboration, you contribute to strengthening families' health, quality of life, and ability to manage their daily lives. As a family support coordinator, you work to support, guide, and create conditions for family members who help or care for a loved one who is elderly, ill, or has a functional disability. The work involves both individual contacts and leading or coordinating various forms of support services and activities. You will, among other things: • offer support conversations and counseling to family members and the affected person, for example in cases of dementia, mental disabilities • provide information about society's support services and guide people to the right activities • plan and conduct family support groups, meetings, and training sessions • collaborate with internal and external actors in healthcare, social services, and civil society • work preventatively to strengthen families' health and well-being • contribute to the development of the activity's family support services.
