We are now seeking an engaged and development-oriented family support coordinator who wants to help develop the municipality's support for families. As a family support coordinator, you have an important role in supporting people who help, care for, or support a loved one. Through counseling, conversations, information, and collaboration, you contribute to strengthening families' health, quality of life, and ability to manage their daily lives. As a family support coordinator, you work to support, guide, and create conditions for family members who help or care for a loved one who is elderly, ill, or has a functional disability. The work involves both individual contacts and leading or coordinating various forms of support services and activities. You will, among other things: • offer support conversations and counseling to family members and the affected person, for example in cases of dementia, mental disabilities • provide information about society's support services and guide people to the right activities • plan and conduct family support groups, meetings, and training sessions • collaborate with internal and external actors in healthcare, social services, and civil society • work preventatively to strengthen families' health and well-being • contribute to the development of the activity's family support services. The work involves considerable independence but also close collaboration with colleagues and external partners. The position is based during daytime hours, Monday-Friday. Working hours may be adjusted based on the activity's needs. The position is a project-based full-time employment for two years with the aim of creating long-term conditions for continued employment. The possibility of permanent employment may exist depending on the project's development and future needs in the activity. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who has: • Relevant university education, for example social worker, behavioral scientist, nurse, or other education that the employer considers equivalent. • Experience working in healthcare, social services, social work, or support activities. • Strong ability to express yourself in speech and writing. • A B driver's license. It is advantageous if you have experience with: • Family support or preventative work. • Support conversations and group activities. • Work with elderly people, people with functional disabilities, or mental health issues.
