Best Part-Time Job in Strömstad - Make Money Where the Party Is!
Best part-time job in town - make money where the party is! "A year ago, I hardly knew what blackjack was. Now I'm working at Cherry's most fun bars, running the tables, and earning more than many of my friends." – Linn, 21 years old What's it really like to work as a blackjack dealer? Linn, one of our employees, shares: What the job is actually about: You stand at the blackjack table, deal the cards, keep track of the game, and make sure everyone's having a good time. You set the vibe. One night you might have a table full of bachelorette party guests, the next night a company on a Christmas dinner, then a fun group out for after-work drinks. You're the face of it all – warm, clear, professional. And no, you don't need to know anything about cards or games. All that's required is that you're social, calm under pressure, and actually enjoy meeting people. The rest you'll learn at Cherry's free internal training. Why this job? I've tried most things like cashiering, serving, telemarketing. This is the first part-time job that actually feels like more than just trading hours for money. Why choose Cherry: No two nights are the same, so you'll never get bored. You get paid to be social and present in a fun environment, not to hide behind a screen or in a backroom. Every shift is a discovery journey meeting new people, so you become really sharp at reading people, chatting, and staying on top of things (without even thinking about it). You quickly realize that you're a big part of the vibe, and without you it's just not the same flow. You build experience that makes you great at all service jobs (and honestly, life in general). It's a flexible job that you can combine with studies or other commitments. About Cherry: Cherry Spelglädje has existed since 1963 and is Sweden's largest operator of land-based commercial gaming, serving over 80% of the market. We're about 600 people spread across 40 districts throughout the country. On the floor, Cherry feels like a great team where camaraderie is strong and many find lifelong friends. Who we think fits: We're looking for someone who contributes to a good vibe at the tables, creates a safe gaming environment, and makes guests feel welcome. You can tell quickly when the right person is there. You're a social person who enjoys fast-paced work and doesn't get stressed when things get busy. You think evenings and weekends are prime time. The practical details: Scope: at least 4 weekend evenings/month, approximately 20 hours – more if you want Times: evenings and nights, mainly Fridays and Saturdays Salary: from 161 kr/h + overtime pay, commission, vacation pay, pension contribution Collective agreement via HRF, affiliated with Visita. Age requirement: 18 years This is one of the few jobs where it actually matters who you are as a person, not what's on your CV. Send in your application right away and I hope to see you soon! Firefighter in On-Call Service
Strömstad Municipality is a small and close-knit organization where everyone is important and works together to deliver the best possible service. The Fire and Rescue Service in Strömstad Municipality operates two fire stations, one in Strömstad and one in Skee. We aim to be one of the best rescue services in Västra Götaland, alongside Halden, Tanum, and Sotenäs municipalities, which are our collaboration partners. 4 position(s). JOB DUTIES In Strömstad Municipality, firefighters, also called on-call rescue service personnel, are employed part-time in our rescue service. This means that as a firefighter, you have a regular employer and work on-call as a firefighter alongside your main job. With us, you are on-call as a firefighter every fourth week, which means that if an alarm comes in during your on-call period, you leave your workplace, your training session, or your Friday plans to respond as a firefighter. Work as a firefighter is varied and can range from fires and traffic accidents to providing medical care while awaiting an ambulance. We are now recruiting more firefighters for the stations in Skee and Strömstad! Employment as a firefighter provides you with opportunities for personal development and plays an important role in our community. We provide the necessary training for you to work as a firefighter, and we actively work with further training and regular exercises - all to ensure we are the best when it matters. QUALIFICATIONS • You have good physical fitness, full vision and hearing, and are a competent swimmer. • Driver's license requirement: at least category B, category C is a merit. • The requirement is that you have permanent employment with your regular employer. • You must be able to be on-call for seven days (Mon-Mon) during a four-week period. The time from when an alarm is received by the rescue service until the first rescue vehicle leaves the station must be a maximum of 5 minutes for the Strömstad station and 8 minutes for the Skee station. This means that your residence and workplace must be near one of the fire stations so that you can meet the response time requirement. Remember to discuss this with your regular employer. Upon employment, we require written approval from your employer that you can work as on-call rescue service personnel, as this means you will leave your work immediately when an alarm comes in and must be able to take time off for training and exercises as needed. The Rescue Service is teamwork, and we welcome you as a team player to show interest in becoming on-call rescue service personnel! If you are qualified as a firefighter, we will invite you to our "test day" where tests including treadmill, heights, and claustrophobia tests will be conducted. For the test day, you need to bring a certificate of swimming proficiency and a statement from your employer. Employment form: Fixed-term employment. Duration: Permanent (until further notice). Regarding the recruitment process, we have made decisions about recruitment channels and marketing. We therefore firmly decline contact from media sellers, recruitment sites, and similar parties.
