JOB RESPONSIBILITIES We are seeking a special education teacher who wants to become part of our team at Strömstiernaskolan. As a special education teacher, your assignment includes working together with the principal and other staff to develop preventive and health-promoting student wellbeing work at Strömstiernaskolan. The job duties consist of consultation/guidance, special education assessments, observations of students, educators and classes, training initiatives, participation in student wellbeing teams and networks, and collaboration with external partners. You will serve as a qualified discussion partner in special education matters with the school's staff and parents/guardians. You will also mentor the school's staff in special education matters, and conduct assessments at the individual, group, and organizational levels. As a special education teacher, you will work closely with the school's principal with a focus on systematic quality work on development issues and student wellbeing. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who is trained as a special education teacher and licensed teacher for grades 7-9. It is desirable if you are a licensed teacher in mathematics. We are also interested in someone who has started or intends to start special education teacher training. It is meritorious if you have worked as a special education teacher in primary school. Digital competence is a requirement for handling information, documentation, and is a natural part of instruction. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities. You should be cooperative, organized, flexible, and solution-focused. Furthermore, you should be able to adopt other perspectives without compromising your own competence, and you should have an ability to convey your knowledge to others.
