Job Description In your role as a special education teacher, you will teach mathematics and natural sciences in the adapted upper secondary national program for Health, Care and Social Services and provide special education support to students in adapted lower secondary grades 7-9. The position includes independent planning, teaching, and assessment. You will be part of the adapted upper secondary team but will work closely with colleagues in both units. Qualifications We are primarily seeking someone who is a certified teacher with a special education teaching degree specializing in intellectual disabilities, with teacher training in mathematics and natural sciences as a foundation. You have experience working in adapted school, knowledge of students with intellectual disabilities and multiple physical and functional disabilities, and knowledge of the pedagogical tools needed to support them. You have good knowledge of alternative and augmentative communication and are an experienced user of assistive technology.
