Welcome to BUP in Örebro! We are now seeking both ST doctors and junior doctors in child and adolescent psychiatry. With us, you will become part of a cohesive and engaged medical team with 15 senior consultants and 5 ST doctors—and we want to grow. Right now, we are implementing a special initiative to develop the medical unit's working methods, training environment, and clinical workflows, including through our fork clinic. As a doctor with us, you will therefore be an important part of BUP's future. BUP Örebro offers a broad child psychiatric mission with outpatient care, emergency services, and inpatient care. We also maintain close collaboration with medical education at Örebro University, which creates excellent opportunities for teaching, supervision, and academic development. We offer: • A strong and experienced medical team with good access to specialist expertise • Individual supervision by specialist doctors • Structured training—for ST doctors with an individual ST plan • Clinical breadth through outpatient care, emergency services, and inpatient care • Opportunity for real-time supervision through fork clinic sessions • Opportunity to contribute to the development of working methods and patient flows • Proximity to the university, teaching, and research • A workplace where your competence and development are important to the organization Duties As a doctor in our department, you will work with standard child and adolescent psychiatric tasks such as diagnosis, assessment, treatment, and follow-up of children and young people with psychiatric conditions. Work is conducted in close collaboration with other professions and always with access to supervision by experienced specialist doctors. The position's content is shaped based on the BUP department where you are placed and adapted to your experience and level of development. You will have the opportunity to work in different parts of BUP's operations—outpatient care, emergency services, and inpatient care—and to handle and assess acute psychiatric conditions under supervision. For ST doctors, the assignment is also shaped according to your individual ST plan, with the goal of achieving broad and solid specialist competence. We actively work to strengthen the training environment for doctors. Among other things, we are developing regular fork clinics, where ST doctors and junior doctors have direct patient visits together with senior consultants. The aim is to increase opportunities for real-time clinical supervision, structured feedback, and in-depth competence development. You will become part of a cohesive medical team directly subordinate to the medical director, with regular supervision and the opportunity to participate in development work. If you are interested, there is also an opportunity to participate in research- and teaching-related projects. The employment is a fixed-term position leading to ST training for six months with the possibility of extension, and the service can be credited toward a future ST position in child and adolescent psychiatry. Qualifications We are seeking both ST doctors and junior doctors: ST Doctor You are a licensed doctor with an interest in child and adolescent psychiatry. Experience in psychiatry, child psychiatry, pediatrics, primary care, or work with children and young people is a merit, but not a requirement. Junior Doctor You are a doctor before or after licensure, or a medical student after term 9 with passed courses and exams (if you are studying the new medical program, term 10 completion is required). For both roles, great importance is placed on personal suitability. We are looking for someone with good collaboration and communication skills, professional conduct toward patients, next of kin and colleagues, and a desire to develop in the role of doctor and future specialist.
