We are looking for We are looking for someone who has Swedish medical licensure with specialist training in clinical pathology and good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing. It is desirable that you have broad diagnostic competence in pathology. It is meritorious if you have previously worked as a senior physician and especially if you have experience in clinical cytology. We place great importance on your personal qualities. What you will be working with As a specialist physician, you have medical responsibility where you are an important part of production and drive development within laboratory medicine together with colleagues. You participate in MDK rounds, aspiration clinics, internal training, and have an important mentor role for our trainee physicians. The Laboratory Medicine operations area is a regional clinic that is part of the Division of Surgery and Diagnostics, and consists of the sub-areas of clinical chemistry and transfusion medicine, clinical microbiology, and clinical pathology. The laboratories have high quality requirements from relevant authorities and are accredited according to SS-EN ISO 15189:2022 Medical laboratories - Requirements for quality and competence. The clinical pathology unit has approximately 30 employees within several different professional categories, including biomedical analysts, autopsy technicians, cytodiagnosticians, specialist physicians in pathology, and administrative staff. During 2025, approximately 16,000 PAD, 3,000 Cyt, 2,000 indicated cervical cytology, 9,000 GCK, and 200 OBD were diagnosed.
