About the Workplace The Sterile Processing Department is part of the anesthesia, operating room, and intensive care operations at Kungälv Hospital. We are responsible for sterilizing medical supplies for Kungälv Hospital, Angered Community Hospital, and several external customers. The sterile processing team consists of six employees, and we work closely with the operating room, where approximately 90 employees work in various roles including anesthesiologists, operating room nurses, nursing assistants, and operating room coordinators. About the Position The Sterile Processing Department is a service unit responsible for cleaning, disinfecting, function testing, packaging, and sterilizing medical instruments according to applicable procedures and guidelines. You will have daily contact and close collaboration with staff from the operating room, inpatient units, and outpatient clinics.
