We are now seeking a new team member to strengthen our team - to further develop and enhance our work in suicide prevention! Do you want to work closely with people in vulnerable situations while providing support that truly makes a difference? Do you thrive in a role with independence, variety, and short, meaningful care contacts? Then this position might be for you. Mobile Suicide Prevention Resource is a regional specialist resource within the Unit for Psychiatric Care Collaboration. The team is based at USÖ and consists of five employees with a shared focus: to offer qualified support, create security, and contribute to the development of suicide prevention work in the region. The team works according to three mandates: Meet individuals who have attempted suicide and support them and their loved ones. Support for survivors following completed suicide. Educate and mentor on suicide. Duties As an employee in Mobile Suicide Prevention Resource, you will have an independent and responsible role with considerable scope to plan and carry out your interventions based on the individual's needs. The first contact with the patient takes place within 48 hours of activation. Subsequent follow-up is then planned together with the patient and, when relevant, also with next of kin. Follow-up can take place via telephone, digital visits, home visits, clinic visits, or at another agreed location. Survivor support is usually initiated by the survivors themselves, but can also be activated through healthcare or emergency services personnel. Education initiatives are planned on a term-by-term basis with ongoing prioritizations based on the activity's needs. The team's work is characterized by flexibility, responsiveness, and adaptation based on the needs of patients, survivors, and organizations requesting education. An important part of the assignment is to collaborate with various psychiatric units, other parts of the region, municipalities, and other healthcare providers in the region. To thrive in the team, you need to feel confident in independent work and be able to make psychiatric assessments. You are flexible, solution-focused, and have the ability to adapt with short notice. Good knowledge of psychiatric organization and contact routes is a great asset in this role. We offer varied, meaningful, and independent work where no two days are alike. You will have the opportunity to influence the structure of your work days within the framework of the assignment and become part of a team with strong cohesion, where collegial support and collaboration are an integral part of daily life. Qualifications We are looking for you who are an experienced nurse, preferably with specialist education in psychiatry, or who have other academic education that the employer deems equivalent. This role is not a traditional nursing position, but suits you if you want to work with supportive conversations, collaboration, and development in an activity with great social benefit. You have experience with difficult conversations, preferably in suicide prevention, and a solid foundation in psychiatry. Experience in collaboration and development work is meritorious. The work is complex and places high demands on flexibility, personal maturity, responsibility-taking, and confidence in meeting people in severe crisis. You also need to feel comfortable in the role as educator and lecturer. We place great importance on personal suitability. A Class B driver's license is a requirement, as work is often performed outside USÖ. Application Selection and interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis. Your application should include a CV and a personal letter. Certificates, grades, diplomas, and the like should be submitted at a potential interview.
