The Current Doctoral Project At the Department of Pedagogy and Special Education, University of Gothenburg, national tests in social studies (grade 9) and English are being developed, as well as assessment support in modern languages. The current doctoral position is particularly linked to the work with national tests in social studies. The work with national tests in social studies is in an expansive and dynamic phase where scientific grounding is particularly important. The doctoral student will have the opportunity to be included in the entire test development process—from task design, piloting and collaboration with teachers, to analysis and presentation of test data and collaboration with other social science subjects and the Swedish National Agency for Education (Skolverket).
